- CHECK OIL LEVEL PRIOR TO SERVICE AND NOTE IF LOW OR EXCESSIVELY DIRTY. DRAIN ENGINE OIL. REMOVE OIL FILTER AND REPLACE OIL FILTER SEAL. REPLACE DRAIN PLUG GASKET IF NECESSARY. FILL OIL LEVEL TO FULL MARK ON OIL DIPSTICK IF EQUIPPED.
- Found code for cylinder #1 misfire. Found coolant low, these engines are notorious for cylinder #1 head gasket failure. Checked for combustion gases in cooling system, none found, test inconclusive. Recommend vehicle to be left overnight, technician will remove the wiper module in order to gain access to the spark plugs and pressurize cooling system overnight. Also technician will move ignition coil to separate position. After these steps a more complete diagnosis can be performed. Technician gained access to the spark plugs and moved cylinder #1 ignition coil to cyl#4 . Road tested vehicle and vehicle coded for cylinder #1. Recommend remove cylinder head and pressure check.
