REPORT ON ANY FINDINGS. technician found history code stored in steering control module C0450 STEERING ASSIST CONTROL ACTUATOR CIRCUIT. found proper power and ground to actuator and to module. found no codes in other modules that would indicate module failure. actuator ohms within specification. no issues found in steering technician found burning smell coming from alternator overheat and failure. Decoupler loading and unloading cause fatigue on tensioner and tensioner does not have proper tension on belt that could be causing intermittent non-assist. replace alternator, tensioner and clear codes, check for steering operation for additional issues.
